Bert Hall

Bert Hall, age 42, of Kensal, ND, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Bert Raymond Hall was born on April 8, 1968, the son of Charles B. and Patricia A. (Swank) Hall at Elkhart, Indiana. His mother moved the family to Kensal in 1981, where Bert attended and graduated from Kensal high school in 1986. He worked for OK Tire and Dakota Growers Pasta Company in Carrington, ND, and recently for Bill and Ryan Spitzer on their farm near Kensal.

Bert was easy to get to know and many knew him as “The Grinch”. He was known by many, loved by most, and will be missed by all. Bert touched the lives of many people. He enjoyed collecting stuff, fixing on old machines and mowers, and watching the History Channel on TV.

Bert is survived by a brother, Patrick (Kathryn) Hall, girlfriend, Terri Canida, and good friend, LaDon (Bubba) Smith, all of Kensal.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Message: I have only just found out, but am so saddened. I spent 9 months working for Paul Spitzer, so got to know Bert first at Hermans, then when he helped bill in the summer. He was a larger than life character, that had a lot of time for everyone - including Englishmen!!
