Clifford Thurlow, age 87, of Carrington, ND, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, ND.
Clifford Thurlow was born on November 7, 1922, the son of William and Otilda (Overson) Thurlow on the family farm near Glenfield, ND. In 1930, they moved to a farm along the James River near Carrington. Clifford attended country school and continued farming on the family farm with his brother, Owen. He retired in 1986, but continued to help on the farm. Clifford lived all his life on the farm until December 2008, when he moved to Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.
He was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed golf and farming. For 12 years, Clifford enjoyed spending his winters in Phoenix, AZ.
Clifford is survived by one brother, Owen, Carrington; one sister, Hazel Nysted, Griffith, IN; and a special nephew, Tom (Tammi) Thurlow, Carrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Lloyd and Richard.
