David Koepplin, age 62, of Jamestown, ND, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at his home in Jamestown.
David Wayne Koepplin was born April 4, 1949, in New Rockford, ND, the son of Herbert and Donna (Anderson) Koepplin. He attended school in Bordulac and Grace City, and then graduated from New Rockford Central High School in 1967. David worked at Red’s Super Valu in New Rockford for some years.
David was united in marriage to Beverly Williams in 1969, and to this union were born 3 children, Rayette, Eric and Davey, Jr. He worked for Scheflers Road Construction, and later Border States Paving as a truck driver for many years. They moved to Minneapolis and he worked at Robin Rubber Company for several years prior to their move back to New Rockford. David and Beverly divorced but remained friends.
David then met Lisa Randall in New Rockford, and they married in Devils Lake on March 4, 1994. They lived in New Rockford for awhile, and then moved to Jamestown where David was employed at the Cavendish Farms plant.
He enjoyed being with his family and friends. David enjoyed writing poetry, being on his computer for hours, keeping in touch with family and friends, and playing games. He loved his two puppies, they made him smile. He also loved cooking and baking. David was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Rockford.
David is survived by his wife Lisa, Jamestown; three daughters, Rayette Brooks, Prior Lake, MN, Jennifer Randall and Sidney Randall, both of Jamestown; two sons, Eric (Crystal) Koepplin, West Fargo, ND, Davey Koepplin, Jr., St. Paul, MN; his mother, Donna Koepplin, New Rockford; one sister, Candy Jensen, New Rockford; two brothers Terry (Sandy) Koepplin, New Rockford, Rick (Cora) Koepplin, Fargo; a sister-in-law, Cecelia Koepplin, Lino Lakes, MN; 4 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Koepplin; one sister Loretta Geske; one brother Jerry Koepplin; his grandparents, Martin and Philippina Koepplin and Charles and Lena Anderson.
