Inez Laber, 94, of Williston, ND, formerly of New Rockford, ND, passed away at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home in Williston, ND on Monday morning, February 14, 2011.
Inez Gedrose was born December 21, 1918, in the Cathay, ND area, the daughter of Hannah and Ingvold Gedrose. On November 26, 1936, Inez was united in marriage to Paul Laber at Devils Lake, ND. They farmed in Rosefield Township of Eddy County until 1979, when they moved into New Rockford. Paul died on April 3, 1989. Inez moved to Williston in September of 2004.
Inez was a member of First Lutheran Church of New Rockford. She was a renowned cook and opened her home for gatherings for family and friends. She was active in Bridge Club for over 40 years. Inez enjoyed card playing with her friends and family. In her younger years she and Paul loved to go dancing.
Survivors include her sister, Viola Delaney, Great Falls, MT; a sister-in law Elsie Gedrose , Sidney, MT; one daughter-in-law Carol Laber, Williston, ND; 11 grandchildren: Mike (Edie) Neumiller, Honolulu, Hawaii, Steve (Brenda) Neumiller and Rick (Londa) Neumiller, both of Bowdon, ND, Susan (Jess) Noble, Miles City, MT, Doug (Dianne) Laber, Boise, ID; Donnie Craig (Tressa) Laber, Cheyenne, WY, Jake Laber, Williston, Jo Marie (Mark) Nelson, Culbertson, MT, Elizabeth Remillong, Phoenix, AZ, Tammy Laber and Taynia Laber, both of Hamilton, MT. There are also numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Inez is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, daughter Shirley Neumiller and sons Donald and Merle Laber, two granddaughters, three brothers and one sister.
