June A. Mehring

June A. Mehring, age 82, of Carrington, ND, passed away peacefully at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND, on Saturday, July 23, 2011.

June A. Nieland was born April 5, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Maggie (Tangney) Nieland in rural Edmunds, ND. She graduated from Carrington High School in 1947.

June and Harry Mehring were united in marriage July 10, 1948, in Pingree, ND. They were married 63 years.

She enjoyed church activities, sewing, gardening, square dancing, and her many grandchildren.

June is survived by her husband Harry; four sons: Monte (Ruth) of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, Mitch (Jane) of Humble, Texas, Matthew of Minneapolis, MN, former daughter-in-law Sona of Eagan, MN, and Mason (Lori) of Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren: Nicole, Stephanie, Paul, Michael, Andrew, Eric, Lauren, Nick, Luke, Jake, Grant, Alex and Cole; 3 great-grandchildren: Henry, Evelyn and Emory; and one sister Iola Crandall of Sacramento, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Walter, three sisters Marie, Marjorie, and Ruth; and one brother Roger.
