LaVerne A. Neuharth, age 76, of New Rockford, ND, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

LaVerne Adelbert Neuharth was born August 25, 1933, in Washburn, ND, to William and Lenore (Begordis) Neuharth. He moved in 1941, with his parents to Portland, ND and then in 1947, to New Rockford, ND where he graduated from high school.

LaVerne was united in marriage with Estelle Voelker on October 6, 1956, in Fargo, ND. They later divorced.

He was a member of the First Congregational Church, New Rockford, ND and was active in Eddy County
4-H as a member and a leader.

In December 1963, he was injured in a highway accident that left him disabled. He lived with his parents for several years, and then moved to Golden Acres Manor in Carrington, ND. In 1975, moved to Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND, where he lived until his death.

He is survived by his son, Paul Neuharth, Dahinda, IL; one sister, Joyce (William) Starke, New Rockford, ND; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
