Paulette Ann Seiler, age 58, of West Fargo, ND, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, April 3, 2010, in New Rockford, under the care of Presentation Hospice and surrounded by family.
Paulette Seiler was born on May 12, 1951, the daughter of John and Rose (Welk) Seiler in Eureka, SD. She was raised on the family farm near Herreid, SD and moved to Eureka with her family her sophomore year of high school. She graduated in 1969.
She was blessed with three children of her own; in addition, her passion was taking care of children. She worked as a daycare provider for over thirty years in South Dakota and North Dakota. She adored her children and grandchildren and was greatly involved in their lives and activities. She was known as “Grandma” to everyone she met. Paulette also enjoyed making candy, reading, watching game shows, traveling, and being with her family.
Survivors include her three children, David (Rachel) Holzwarth, New Rockford, ND; Michele (Mike) Hemmelgarn, West Fargo, ND; Stacey (Todd) Siemieniewski, Shelly, MN; six grandchildren, Tony Hemmelgarn; Elizabeth and Nathan Holzwarth; Nathaniel, Nicholas and Abagail Siemieniewski; two brothers, Terry (Marilyn) Seiler, Fairfax, SD; John (Reine) Seiler, Bridgeton, MO; four sisters, Mary (LeRoy) Anderson, Redfield, SD; Pam Whitmore, Parrish, FL; Marlene (Kent) Petterborg, Boise, ID; Kay (John) Clark, Skaneateles, NY. Paulette is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and Kelsey and Carley Scherweit, who Paulette loved and cared for as her own children.
Paulette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gabriel and Mary Welk; George and Katherine Seiler; her parents, John and Rose Seiler; and her niece Jody Anderson.
