Robert N. Rathe, age 31, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, August 26, 2011, at his home in Moorhead.

Robert Neal Rathe was born January 10, 1980, in Bismarck, ND, the son of Ross and Julie (Elken) Rathe.  He grew up in the Oshkosh, Wisconsin area and graduated from Oshkosh Christian School in 1998.  Robert entered the Army National Guard and served for a time.  He later moved to Willmar, MN, and lived with family there.  He had moved to Moorhead, MN in 2008, where he worked in construction.

Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his daughters.

He is survived by his daughters, Justine and Alexandra Rathe of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; by the mother of his children, Jacquelyn Crook, Fond Du Lac; two half-brothers, Austun Gibbs, Fargo and Alex Rathe, Oshkosh, WI,; a half-sister, Haley Rathe, Oshkosh; his step-mother, Mary Kay Rathe of Oshkosh; his grandmothers, Beulah Rathe and Delores Elken, both of Carrington; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and grandfathers Marvin Rathe and Gordon Elken.
