Following his retirement, he held several jobs including rural mail carrier and crop adjuster.

Roger served as a volunteer for the ambulance and fire department. He was a member of the New Rockford Eagles, VFW and American Legion. He served on the St. John’s Parish Council and was actively involved in the church. Roger was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. So sorry to hear of Roger's passing. We were at the state wrestling tournament all weekend and when visiting with dad last night I found of Roger's passing. So many memories of Roger when I was a kid. It's great to grow up in a small town like Mylo and have great people like Roger to influence you. A few weeks ago I was going through some of our family albums and found a picture of when Roger was my confirmation sponsor. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

I saw the notice today in the Minot paper that I have a link on my computer. I was very sorry to hear of Roger's passing, he was a very good person from what I remember growing up in Mylo. And talk about a small world, my dental hygenist is from New Rockford and said she was good friends with Lisa, just can't remember her name. I just wanted to touch base with your family to let you know we are thinking of you during this tough time. Feel free to contact me if you wish.
