Sigrid R. Peterson

Sigrid R. Peterson, 87, New Rockford, ND, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Sanford Health  Palliative Care Center, Fargo, ND

Sigrid Ruth Anderson was born March 15, 1924 in Arthur, ND, the daughter of Sigurd and Olga (Christ) Anderson.  Sigrid grew up in New Rockford, ND, and married Edwin M. Peterson on November 16, 1952, at rural New Rockford.   Sigrid and Edwin farmed east of New Rockford and have been long-time members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Rockford.  Sigrid enjoyed many years of membership in the HEO Club, a Sheldon Township-area social club. She loved to garden, cook and bake, make quilts and spend time with her family. Sigrid entered Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford in July 2011.

 

Sigrid is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edwin; her children Lois (Brad) Cogdill, Fargo, and Larry New Rockford;  her grandchildren,  Jesse (Kim) Peterson, Watertown, SD; and Meghan Cogdill, Fargo; great-grandchildren Abigail and Wyatt Peterson; her  brother Joseph (Margie) Anderson, New Rockford; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
