David A. Throlson, age 63, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home in Fargo.
David Arlyn Throlson was born September 26, 1945, at New Rockford, ND, the son of Carl William and Catherine (Buttery) Throlson. He grew up on the family farm near New Rockford, and graduated from New Rockford Central High School. David entered the US Army in March of 1965 and served in Vietnam. He was discharged in March of 1969. David returned to New Rockford and farmed with his father for several years. He then operated his own tractor/trailer, doing over the road trucking until he retired due to his health and moved to Fargo.
David was a member of the United Methodist Church, New Rockford. He had been a member of the New Rockford Boy Scouts during his school years. David collected guns of all types, and enjoyed hunting and shooting his guns.
He is survived by one brother, Gary (Sharon) Throlson of New Rockford; one sister, Cathy Throlson of Moorhead, MN; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Throlson of Bismarck, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Daniel, and a nephew Rick.
