Deloris E. House, age 83, of Grace City, ND, died Friday, December 25, 2009, in her home with her family near, under the care of Hospice.
Deloris E. Potter, known as “Grandma Too”, was born on March 26, 1926, the daughter of James and Isabell (Smith) Potter at Juanita, ND. She was raised in the area and graduated Grace City High School in 1944. On November 15, 1944, Deloris married Thomas House at Jesse, ND. They lived at Grace City where she worked as the Postmaster from 1959 to 1986, when she retired. Thomas died December 22, 1974.
She loved working the daily crossword puzzle, gardening, playing cards, and spending time at Juanita Lake. Deloris enjoyed watching the Twins, Vikings, and Tiger Woods. She was a member of the Grace City Cemetery Association, Grace City Methodist Church, New Rockford Eagles Auxiliary, and Glenfield VFW Auxiliary.
Deloris is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Chuck) Hong, Franklin Lake, MN; three sons, Jim (Becky) House, Glenfield, ND, Don House, Bismarck, ND, and Alan (Sally) House, Flagstaff, AZ; a daughter-in-law, Jean House, Grace City, ND; and ten grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom; one son, Larry; one sister, Esther Luttschwager; and three brothers, Ernie, Dale and Harold Potter.
