Elvin Edwardson, age 72, of Sibley, ND, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at his home under the care of Hospice of Red River Valley.
Elvin Edwardson was born on February 9, 1937, the son of Edward and Elvida (Halvorson) Edwardson at Nordmore Township near Carrington, ND. He was raised and graduated Estabrook school. Elvin attended Wahpeton State School of Science and earned an electrical degree in the mid 1950’s. He worked at Fargo, ND and thru out the country for International Brotherhood of the Electrical Workers, Union #1426.
On November 5, 1962, Elvin married Lorrice Palen at Sturges, SD. They made their home in Carrington, ND. In 1986, they moved to Mesa, AZ. Lorrice died December 22, 1993. In 1997, Elvin retired and moved to Sibley, ND where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoor activities, and visiting with family and friends.
Elvin is survived by one son, Dean Edwardson, Sibley, ND; one daughter, Crystal (Lance) Arnoldussen, Oconomowoc, WI; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Elma Smith, New Rockford, ND; two brothers, Edwin Edwardson, Carrington, ND, Norman (Jensine) Edwardson, Fargo, ND; one brother-in-law, Lester Smith, Sheyenne, ND; and one sister-in-law, Arvilla Larson, Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elvida; his wife, Lorrice; one son, Wayne; and two sisters and one brother.
