Harriet E. Anderson, age 80, of Carrington, ND, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Carrington Health Center, with her three daughters at her side.

Harriet E. Fiet was born on July 3, 1928, the daughter of Cecil and Lillian (Olson) Fiet at Rugby, ND. She grew up and graduated from Rugby High School in 1946. Harriet worked at Baillies Drug and Ottertail Power Co.

On September 9, 1951, Harriet married Kenneth E. Anderson in Rugby, ND. They moved to Carrington, where they made their home. Ken died May 26, 1996.

Harriet was always cheerful and loved a good joke. Her interest were reading, working puzzles, having coffee with friends, and shopping, her favorite activity. She was an active member of her church and participated in the church choir.

Harriet will be remembered and deeply missed by her three daughters, Kathleen (Jim) Matteson, Colstrip, MT, Peggy Anderson (Alan) Epstein, Denver, CO, and Terri Anderson, Denver, CO; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lillian Fiet; husband, Ken; one brother, Keith; one sister, Deloris; and one grandchild.
