Sylvia Zink, age 83, of Carrington, ND, died Monday, April 20, 2009, at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND.
Sylvia Nohrenberg was born on September 27, 1925, the daughter of Ernest and Eleanor (Daugs) Nohrenberg at Pingree, ND. She was raised in the Pingree area and graduated school at Pingree.
On May 3, 1946, Sylvia married Gerald Zink in Pingree, ND. They lived near Bordulac, ND, where they farmed and raised their children. Gerald died on March 29, 1984. Sylvia moved to Carrington and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary in Carrington.
Sylvia is survived by six children, Patricia Nicholson, Fargo, ND, Roger (Luane) Zink, Bismarck, ND, Ross Zink, Fargo, ND, Deborah (Tim) Skadberg, Saquache, CO, Charles Zink, Carrington, ND, Christine Beach, Fargo, ND; twelve grandsons, Michael Nicholson, Daniel Nicholson, Ryan Zink, Joshua Skadberg, Adam Skadberg, Jared Skadberg, Gerald Zink, Lucas Zink, Nicholas Beach, Benjamin Beach, Aaron Larson, Travis Larson; five granddaughters, Suzanne Fischer, Jocelyn Zink, Keri Zink, Alicia Hess, Karoline Geerdes; six great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters; and one brother, Raymond (Barbara) Nohrenberg, Pingree, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eleanor; husband, Gerald; and two brothers, Donald and Orley Nohrenberg.
