Thomas M. Kautzman, age 57, of Beaverton, OR, formerly of Carrington, ND, died Friday, February 13, 2009, at St. Vincent Medical Center at Portland, OR.
Thomas Martin Kautzman was born March 31, 1951, the son of Pete and Jennie (Eidsvoog) Kautzman at Carrington, ND. He was raised and attended school at Carrington and graduated in 1969. He attended the DeVry Institute at Chicago, IL for electronics. He entered the US Coast Guard in 1971and was stationed at Point Reyes, CA. After his discharge in 1975, Thomas moved to Portland, OR, and worked for Portland State Univeristy in the electronic /computer operations for the school from 1975 – 2002. He went to work for BIAMP Systems as a shipping clerk in Portland and worked there until the time of his death.
He enjoyed bowling, hockey, 4th of July and Rose Parades in Beaverton, traveling on his motorcycle and his camper, growing roses and apple trees and making apple pies for his friends and co-workers.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Jennie Kautzman, Carrington, ND; two brothers Pete (Twila) Kautzman, Wahpeton, ND, and Michael (Karen ) Kautzman, Bismarck, ND; two sisters, Linda (Frank)Waldner and Pamela Kautzman both of Bismarck, ND; four nephews and 3 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete.
