Ashton Wyatt Lee

Ashton Wyatt Lee of Sheyenne, ND, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at his family home, in the arms of his grandmother, under the care of his family and Presentation Hospice.


Ashton was born in Devils Lake, ND, on May 22, 2008, the son of Crystal LaRoque and Alvin Jamison Lee.
Medical conditions caused Ashton to be admitted to University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Ashton was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer with Ashton being the fourth known case in the world to have had the cancer at the time of his birth.


Ashton returned to Sheyenne on February 10, 2010. He loved to watch the Wonder Pets and Wiggles, and enjoyed dancing along with them. He also loved to cuddle with his Grandma Joyce and to be sang to.


He is survived by his mother, Crystal LaRoque, Sheyenne, ND; his father, Alvin Lee, Minneapolis, MN; four brothers, Loren Nadeau, and Issiah Nadeau, both of Sheyenne, ND, Hunter Lind, Beulah, ND, Preston Lee, Sheyenne, ND; one sister, Mackenzie Martin, Sheyenne; grandmothers, Joyce Affeldt, Sheyenne, ND, and Lena (Wally) Walleen, Goodrich, ND; uncles, Jerry Affeldt, Sheyenne, ND, Patrick Schmidt, Devils Lake, ND; great aunt, Nichole Walleen, Harvey, ND, great uncle, Clint (Trudy) LaRoque, and Patrick (Laure) LaRoque, both of Sheyenne, ND, and Leon (Leona) LaRoque, Minnewaukan, ND.

He was such a incredible little boy, and I will never forget the time that my daughter Kaitlyn met him and had the chance to hang out with him when they were both in the hospital together.
