Daniel Beauclair

Daniel Patrick Beauclair, age 77, of New Rockford, ND, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Eventide, Jamestown, ND.

 

Daniel was born April 28, 1937, in New Rockford, ND the son of Carl and Kathryn (Casey) Beauclair. Daniel attended St. James Academy, New Rockford. After completing his formal education he joined the United States Air Force and served as a Tech Sergeant and Crew Chief working on KC135 and B-52 Bombers. Daniel served in Vietnam and was also stationed in the United States at Beale Air Force Base, CA.

 

He was united in marriage to Marjorie Ann Gildersleeve on June 15, 1963, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville, CA. After a few moves, they settled in North Dakota on the family farm northwest of McHenry where they raised sheep and crops with his brother Jim.

 

In 1980, the family moved to New Rockford. Daniel enjoyed time with his wife and family throughout his retirement. He especially love to read the Bible and enjoyed “easy listening” music. Time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very special to him. He loved lilacs and couldn’t wait to bring them into their home in the spring. He was a long time member of St. John’s Catholic Church, New Rockford.

 

Daniel is survived by three sons, Vincent (Bernadette) Cheyenne, WY, Dewaine, New Rockford, Ronald (Cindy) Moore, OK; one daughter Catherine Beauclair, New Rockford; three sisters, Elaine Beauclair, Barstow, CA, Sr. Mary Jane Beauclair, Fargo, ND, Kathleen Grana, WV; he is further survived by five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

 

Daniel was preceded in death by his loving wife Marjorie who passed into the Lord’s hands March 4, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers John, James, and Dennis and a granddaughter Devon Deanne.
