Martez Curley, (The Boy Who Makes The People Smile) age 4 months, died June 19, 2016, at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Martez Wayne Curley was born January 29, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND.  He was welcomed home with loving arms by his Grandparents Meada and Scott Jetty, and his two aunts Shanae and Shanese Jetty, on February 2, 2016, at St. Michael, ND. Martez had the most beautiful eyes that seemed to speak loving words. He was a very happy baby and it was like he did not know how to cry. Martez loved to snuggle and get butterfly kisses from his Grandma. He also enjoyed stroller rides outside with his aunts and listening to music with his Papa.  Papa’s nickname for him was “Potsie”.

He is survived by his caregiver grandparents Meada and Scott Jetty, St. Michael; his mother Miranda Alberts and father Marcus Curley; his big hero brother Marcus Jr.; uncle James Xaiver Alberts, Jr.; aunts  Shanae and Shanese Jetty; grandmother Michelle Two Hearts; great-grandmothers Renita (Waylon ”Bud”) Shaw, Frances (Terry) Halsey; aunt Michelle Myrick; and special grandfather Cornell Kirk.   Also James Alberts, Jerry Curley, and by other paternal family members.

Spirit Lake friends wanting to join the procession from New Rockford to St. Michael should gather on the St. Jerome's road near Crow Hill prior to 4:45PM Sunday.

WAKE/VISITATION AND ROSARY SERVICE:

Sunday (June 26th) beginning at 5PM, with Rosary at 7PM,

all in St. Michael's Catholic Church
