Harold E. Dockter, age 70, of New Rockford, ND, died Saturday, September 28, 2013, at his residence. Harold Edward Dockter was born August 11, 1943, in Carrington, ND, the son of Gottlieb Jr. and Josephine (Davis) Dockter. He attended school near New Rockford, ND. Harold was united in marriage to Linda Diane Hildebrant on December 30, 1970, in Portland, OR. To this union 3 children were born. They later divorced, and he married Susan Elizabeth Rankin on July 3, 1982, at Portland, OR. They lived in Gresham, OR, until moving to New Rockford in 2002. While working in Oregon, Harold was a machinist. After returning to New Rockford, he had worked for Buzz Manufacturing in Carrington, ND. Harold is survived by his wife Susan; a daughter Rachelle (Jason) Higgins, Gresham, OR; grandchildren, Madison, Corey, Shae, and Austin; 6 sisters and 1 brother, Alma Deloris (Eulis), New Rockford, Alberteen “Agnes� Nokleby (Willis Sucket), Carrington, ND, James (Eileen) Dockter, New Rockford, Marjory Bohnet, New Rockford, Janet Banning, Williston, Helen Duda, New Rockford, and Shirley Pederson, Williston. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 children, Sonja and Daniel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris (Eddie) Wade, Ruby (Dan) Eisele, Erma (Carlton) Christianson, Jennie (Harry) Kaul; brothers, Albert and Vernon; brothers-in-law, Duane Nokleby and LaVern Duda.
