Dora Elizabeth Ellingson was born June 10, 1922, at McHenry, ND, the daughter of Joseph W. and Gertrude A. (Bjorgo) Ellingson.

On December 28, 1950, Dora was united in marriage to Julius (Mike) Delfs in Valley City ND. In 1962, they bought the Delfs family farm, and lived there until 1984, at which time they moved to the town of McHenry. Mike passed away January 16, 1996. Dora lived in McHenry until November 2008, when she moved to Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND.

She was a lifetime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in McHenry ND.

She is survived by two sons, James (Catherine) Delfs, Carrington, ND and Bradley (Kelly) Delfs, Spring Lake Park, MN; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Luella Ellingson, McHenry, ND, and Josephine Ellingson, Bismarck, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Lannes , Ellsworth , Custer , Sherman , Robert, and one in infancy; two sisters, Shirley Bergan, and one in infancy.

The Delfs family suggests memorials to Our Savior’s Lutheran WELCA.
