Frances Eggar, age 96, of Sheyenne, ND, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.

Frances was born on April 3, 1917, to Forrest and Hilda (Erickson) Warren. Frances grew up on the family farm, southeast of Sheyenne. On June 15, 1937, she married Norval Olaf Eggar. They honeymooned in Spring Grove, MN, at a family reunion. Frances and Norval settled in Sheyenne where they owned and operated a tavern, “Nugg’s Place�, until his death on October 23, 1972. Frances entered LHGS in December of 2009.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, was a charter member of the VFW Auxilliary (63 years), and enjoyed bowling, card clubs, fishing, the casino and books on tape. She always had coffee and treats for friends who stopped by.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Faye Ellen Burrows, Valley City, ND; grandchildren, Dawn (Steve) Ottmar, Eden Prairie, MN, Claude Burrows, Valley City, ND; and a great-grandson, Thomas Ottmar, Eden Prairie, MN. Also nieces and nephews, Bonnie Westerhausen, Bismarck, ND, Sandra and Donald Walford, New Castle, WY, Bek Meredith, Helena, MT, Jim and Diane Brines, Dickinson, ND, Dean and Chris Warren, Sheyenne, ND, Joan and John Clower, Park City, UT, and their children and grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Claude Burrows, Sr., brother and sister-in-law, Boyd and Alvina Warren, sister and brother-in-law, Ludetta and Walter Brines, and a nephew, Gary Westerhausen.

Her family would like to extend their thanks for the care she received while living in Lutheran Home of the
Good Shepherd.

Frances requested not to have a funeral service.

Memorial Gathering: Saturday, Nov. 2nd, 5PM - 6PM, Great Room at LHGS, NR

Burial: Riverside Cemetry, Sheyenne, ND, at a later date
