Lillian Ellingson

 

Lillian M. Ellingson, of Carrington and West Fargo, ND, died December 28, 2016, at her home in West Fargo, surrounded by her loved ones.

Lillian Marie Scott was born July 15, 1942, in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Lester and Jessie (Edwards) Scott. She was the youngest of seven children.

She raised six children from her first marriage in both Sioux City and Courtenay, ND. On February 14, 1981, she was united in marriage to Arvid Ellingson at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. They resided in Carrington until 2012, when they moved to West Fargo, ND.

Lillian will be remembered for her many volunteer service hours. She will be remembered most for the hundreds of knitted hats she donated to various charities and organizations.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Arvid, Carrington; children, Fred Tanata, Carrington, Kim (Jeff) Krei, West Fargo, Debbie (Steve) Busche, Kindred, Julie (Charles) Krabbenhoft, Fargo, and Scott Tanata, Carrington; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Maloney, Shreveport, LA, and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dick, and her sisters, Neoma, Norma, Mary, and Bonnie. She also lost her beloved, youngest child, Krista.

One hour prior to her funeral service, held at Trinity Lutheran Church
