Geneva Mae Scevers

Geneva Scevers, 50, of Sheyenne, ND, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.


Geneva “Neva� Mae Scevers was born in Oklahoma on October 26, 1962, the daughter of Bobbie Jean Cranford and Arthur Dale Scevers. The family moved to Roseburg, OR where she grew up and attended school. After school, she started her family, who became the love and focus of her life.


Geneva moved to New Rockford in February of 2000, for the past 10 years has lived at rural Sheyenne as a companion to Gordon Nelson. She was currently employed at Maddock Memorial Home, Maddock, ND.


She loved spending time with family and grandchildren. Neva enjoyed being in the outdoors and the “smell of the dust in the air�, gardening and planting flowers.


She is survived, and will be greatly missed, by four children, sons, Jeremy, Sheyenne, ND, Brian, Mesa, AZ, Joe, Phoenix, AZ, daughter, Karlee (Andrew) Rose, Bismarck, ND; two grandchildren, Haley Scevers and Andre Rose; her companion Gordon Nelson; four brothers, Bobby (Tina) Scevers, Jamestown, ND, Mike (Cheryl) Scevers and Ronnie (Ruth) Scevers, both of Oregon, Dennis Cranford, California; three sisters, Donna Turk, Deanna Marlow, and Sandy (Buck) Sherwood, all of Oregon.


Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Debbie and Kathy; and one grandchild, Dillon Scevers.

Message: My sincere sympathy to loved ones for your loss. Geneva leaves behind my only niece and nephews, and I thank her for that (even though I am not as connected with them as I'd like).
