Mark T. Howatt

Mark T. Howatt  (49) died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He was diagnosed with P.S.C. and died while waiting for a transplant.

 

Mark Todd Howatt was born Jan. 22, 1965 in Langdon ND, the 10th child of Maurice and Phyllis (Fischer) Howatt.  Mark attended Elementary School at Hannah ND.   In 1981, the family moved to Devils Lake. Mark graduated from Central High School, Devils Lake ND, in 1983 and from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND,  1993, majoring in Computer Programing.  Mark married Theresa (Carlson) on July 26, 1997, in Sheyenne ND. They had three beautiful children.

Mark adored his children, helping them with homework and attending all their performances. Mark and Theresa devoted all their time and energy into raising their children.  He loved computers and all technology.   Mark could fix just about anything.  He loved buying junker cars and rebuilding them to run like new, then reselling them at a profit. Mark was employed by PayPal as a Senior Systems Engineer. 

Mark survived by his wife, Theresa, Children: Hannah, Michael, and Alex, all at home in Omaha; Sisters: Susan (Mark) Estenson , Devils Lake, Lori (Paul) Erickson, Maddock; Brothers: Shawn (Bonnie) Howatt, Devils Lake, Rod (Connie) Howatt, and Jerry (Patty) Howatt, both of Langdon; Special nephew Greg (Sherry) Zeis, other nephews Shane (Alicia) Howatt, Jason Bergman, Randall Howatt, Adam Howatt, Jared (Dayna) Estenson; Special Niece Jackie (Chris) Grosz, and other nieces Darla (Corey) Morstad, Amanda Faul, Amy (Corey) Bozell, Kelly (Loren) Maag, Kari (Frank) Rodriguez, Megan (Dan)Smith, Danelle Hanson, Allison Howatt, April (Corey) Sonderlund, Heather Howatt,  Mandy Howatt, and Karli Estenson; and many Great-nieces and Great-nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Phyllis (Fischer), brothers: Bradley Howatt and Tom Howatt, and sisters: Bonnie Zeis and Sharon Faul.   

 

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Riverside Cemetery, Sheyenne, ND

Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship with a meal,

served at Grace Lutheran Church, Sheyenne

Message: My sincere sympathy to the family of Mark. He was truly a great person who was great to be around. But some things are just out of our hands and only god knows why. May he now rest in peace in the kingdom of heaven where there is no more pain and sorrow but everlasting joy. Peace to you all at this time and the yrs. to come!!
