Johanna "Jennie" Ripplinger

Johanna “Jennie� Ripplinger, age 99, of New Rockford, ND, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND

Johanna Wolfe was born on July 16, 1911 on a farm near Rugby, ND, one of sixteen children born to Jacob and Josephine (Heilman) Wolfe.

Jennie was united in marriage to Christ Ripplinger on September 16, 1930, at Balta, ND, where they made their home. They later moved to a farm south of New Rockford where they farmed for many years. In her later years she cooked at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, retiring in 1980. Christ Ripplinger died on June 26, 1981. Jennie lived on her own until entering the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in November, 2010.

She is survived by 3 sons, Daniel (Mary Ann), Highlands Ranch, CO, Richard (Jean), Fargo, ND, Stanley (Mary), New Rockford, ND, 1 daughter, Cindy (Jim) Johnson, New Rockford, ND; her sister Monica Witt, Milwaukee, WI; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband and fourteen brothers and sisters.
