Linda Johnson

 

Linda Marie Johnson, 70, of Glenfield, ND, died April 4, 2015, at the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND with her family by her side.

Linda was born January 20, 1945, in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Myron and Doris (Troseth) Kirkeby.  She grew up in Sutton, and graduated from Glenfield- Sutton High School in 1963. Linda attended college in Fargo, ND, earning a degree in nursing in 1966.  Linda spent her first year of her career working in the ER at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo. She then worked at the Cooperstown Hospital for a few years, with most of her career being at the Carrington Hospital.  In addition, Linda held a position as Parish Nurse and worked with Hospice.  She retired at the age of 62.

On June 30, 1967, Linda was united in marriage with Theodore L. Johnson in Glenfield.  They attended high school together and went on to share life farming in Glenfield.

She enjoyed crocheting, golfing, traveling and spending time with family. She was known in Glenfield for being the local ER, treating many family and friends at her home when they were in need of some extra care. Linda had a passion for helping people.

Linda will be remembered by her three sons, Eric (Rhoda), Nate (Nikki), and Aaron (Beve) Johnson, all of Glenfield; seven grandchildren, Chantel, Michael, Janae, Kaylee, Grace, Tyler, and Avery; two great-grandchildren, Tatyn, and Makaya; one brother Marlin Kirkeby; two nieces and a nephew.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Theodore in 2011.

You three were blessed with an amazing mom!  I will never forget when Nathan and I got attacked by wasps at my grandparents farm and Linda came to the rescue!  God bless
