Message: My heart goes out to the family of Larry as they find their strength from above to heal. Larry was more than a friend to my dad Mike Leapaldt for many years. Larry brought many smiles to his face, warmth to his heart, and was a great friend to him. I have always appreciated the genuine love that he expressed to my dad and my family. When my dad passed Larry sang at his funeral and remembered him on his following birthdate as he played the two songs on the radio that we requested every year for him. What a great friend! God bless Larry and his family as we all have now gained another angel from above.

Message: Nelson Family,

I was truly saddened to hear about Larry's passing.  I got to know Larry thru the EBC Fraternity at VCSU only to find out that he was from the Litchville area which is where I started my teaching career.  He made me laugh all the time.  If Larry wasn't telling a story or a joke  he was singing.   I know several people are laughing in heaven today listening to my friend Larry Nelson.  God Bless his memory.  John Monilaws
