Nancy Lembke

Nancy Jane Lembke, age 85, of Carrington, ND, formerly from Ada, MN, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at CHI, St. Alexius, Carrington.

Nancy Jane Weed was born March 18, 1932, in Fargo, ND, the Daughter of John and Jessie (Jewell) Weed.  She attended Fargo Central High School.  Upon graduation, Nancy attended nursing school in Fargo receiving her Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN for over 40 years in Fargo, Ada, Carrington, and New Rockford until her retirement. 

She was united in marriage to Marvin J. Lembke on December 27, 1953, in Fargo.

Nancy was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in various church groups.  She enjoyed her naalbinding rug group at the church.  She loved completing crossword puzzles, fishing, traveling with her children, and being with her friends.  She also completed a mission trip to Slovakia.

Nancy is survived by her children, Jane (Steve) Carlson, Idaho Falls, ID, Heidi (Jerry) Hastings, Phoenix, AZ, Dwight (Cher) Lembke, Thompson, ND, Kent (Shannon) Lembke, Estes Park, CO, and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin in 2003, her parents, and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer society are suggested.
