Greg Lesmeister

Gregory Alan Lesmeister, age 53, of New Rockford, ND, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Carrington, ND, due to a heart attack.

Greg Alan Lesmeister was born on February 7, 1963, the son of Jerome and Arlyss (Nelson) Lesmeister in New Rockford, North Dakota. Greg graduated from New Rockford Central High School then joined the US Air Force in 1981. Gregory was united in marriage to Teresita Laurio on April 29, 1988, in Minot, ND.

 

During his military career, Greg worked on B-52 and C-141 aircrafts. Greg and Teresita traveled the world, with most of their time spent in Minot, Germany, Guam, Washington State, and Afghanistan. Gregory retired after 26 years of service to the United States in 2007. Greg and Teresita then moved to New Rockford to spend their time with his mother, Arlyss. Gregory was a true hero in the military, and in his life.

Greg is survived by his wife, Teresita Lesmeister, and their cats; his sister, LeAnn (Michael) Tennyson, of Minot; his three brothers, Jerome "Pat" (Bonnie), of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Kevin, of Jamestown, ND, and Tim (Debbie Hegg), of Gwinner, ND. Also, his 2 sisters-in-law, Ening (Leonardo) Latoreno, of Fayetteville, NC, Della (Jimmy) Webb, of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; his 12 nieces and nephews, Micah (Erin) Lesmeister, Chantal Lesmeister, Rebecca (Jacob) Berry, Chacey Lesmeister, Jared Tennyson, Whitney Tennyson, Kaleb Lesmeister, Matthew (Kelly) Lesmeister, Stephanie (Chuck Bryan) Lesmeister, Nathan (Amy) Geist, Rosemarie (Daniel) Raymond, and Cheyenne Webb; his uncle, Frankie Lesmeister, of Albertville, AL, as well as all his cousins and their families, and his great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, Roy T. Nelson, Georgia and Albert Benson, Frank and Olivia Lesmeister.
