Joyce Sabinash, age 81, of Kensal, ND, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her home in the company of her husband and family.

Joyce Lavon Walker was born on August 6, 1932, the daughter of William L. and Blanche (Blahna) Walker in Nogosek Township, in Stutsman County, ND. She attended country school and Kensal Public School.

On June 1, 1949, Joyce was united in marriage to Ray Sabinash in Kensal. During their early marriage years, they took care of Ray’s siblings, and also raised their six children and took care of her grandmother and mother.  Joyce loved being a homemaker, gardener, and milking cows.

She loved going to Jamestown for dinner and dancing. Joyce loved her grandchildren and life. She always cooked and made sure everyone ate. The house was never empty as Joyce took care of her kids, grand-kids, and great grand-kids all through her life.

Joyce will be remembered and deeply missed by her husband Ray; 6 children, Jennifer Kylmanen, Jamestown, ND, Monty (Fontain) Sabinash, Kensal, Renee Spitzer, Jamestown, Tammy (Patrick) Ramer, Kensal, Mark (Keely) Sabinash,  Jamestown, and Marlin (Tanya) Sabinash, Kensal; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents; one brother, William; son-in-law, Jeff Spitzer; and Uncle Jack Walker.
