Theodore "Ted" Clark

Theodore “Ted� Laughlin Clark, age 83, of Carrington, ND, died Monday, December 27, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and children, under the care of Presentation Hospice of Carrington.

Ted was born August 27, 1927, in Foster County, ND, the son of Theodore and Jeannette (Laughlin) Clark. He grew up and attended school in Carrington. As a young lad, Ted helped his father raise and haul potatoes. As a teen, he was a race jockey and rode saddle broncs in area rodeos.

On June 29, 1946, Ted was united in marriage to Lucille Hallwachs in Carrington. Together they started Clark Truck Line and both drove trucks, building their business together for over 50 years. Ted ventured into farming, ranching and showing quarter horses with his children. Ted was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his produce with everyone.

Ted will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Lucille, Carrington; four daughters and three sons, Holly (Russell) Greger, Fargo, ND, Candy Schroeder, Bordulac, ND, James Clark, Jamestown, ND, Thomas (Meredith) Clark, League City, TX, Joseph (Lois) Clark, Carrington, Kathleen (Kelly) Perleberg, New Rockford, ND, and Amy Clark, Carrington; 14 grandchildren: Jodie Haring, Kelly Greger, and Tiffany Greger, all of Fargo, Timothy Schroeder, Bordulac, ND, Rachel Schroeder, Bismarck, ND, Cody Clark, Houston, TX, Scott (Jessica) Clark, Bismarck, Josie and Cheyenne Clark, Carrington, Eric and Ashley Perleberg, New Rockford, Reed, Preston and Taylor Koenig, Casselton, ND; one great grandson, Shawn Clark, Bismarck; and one sister, Joanne (Michael) Fisher, Bismarck.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Lowell Clark; son-in-law, Larry Schroeder; and one great granddaughter, Julie Greger.
