Vivian L. Hatch

Vivian L. Hatch, age 79, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Jamestown and Carrington, ND, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND.

Vivian Leah Elton was born on February 3, 1931, the daughter of Hugh and Hazel (Wanamaker) Elton in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Edmunds, ND, and attended Edmunds Country School.

On June 30, 1947, Vivian was united in marriage to Kenneth Hatch in Carrington, ND, where they made their home until 1966. While in Carrington, she worked at Fireside Inn. In 1966, they moved to Jamestown, ND, where Vivian worked for Jamestown Hospital and High Acres Manor until her retirement in 1993.

Vivian loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a love for growing plants. Vivian enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. She was a member of Federated Church UCC/UMC in Carrington.

Vivian will be remembered and deeply missed by her children, Jorene (Gil) Temme, Jamestown, ND, Joell Hatch, Jamestown, ND, Jerilyn Hagen, Carrington, ND, Denise Hatch, Jamestown, ND, Dennis Hatch, Moorhead, MN, Roxanne Bleibaum, Jamestown, ND, Ranell (Bonnie) Hatch, Harwood, ND, Nadine (Bruce Gumke) Hatch, Jamestown, ND, Corey (Cassie) Hatch, Fargo, ND; twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (LaRae) Elton, Lake Isabella, CA; and one sister, Ann Molocko, Torenz, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents, Hugh and Hazel; and a grandson, Andrew Hagen.
