Frieda Watson

Frieda S. Watson, age 93, of Carrington, ND, formerly of Sykeston, ND, died Thursday, September 1, 2016, with her loving husband and children beside her at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

She would wait for him to visit on the weekends and enjoyed their time that the spent together. They liked to go dancing in Carrington at the Rainbow Gardens and visiting with friends.

Frieda and Kenneth were united in marriage on April 11th 1962, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fargo. From this beautiful union came their two children Marlene and Curtis. They raised their children on the family farm and continued to live there until September of 1994 when they moved to Carrington.

She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sykeston, Frieda enjoyed many years of teaching Sunday School and contributing to the women’s church group. She spent time working on puzzles, word puzzles, word searches, and embroidering while inside. During the summer months she loved to be outside in her garden, working on her flower beds and bird watching. Frieda was an avid arts and crafts creator, making many Christmas ornaments a gift that she passed down to her family. After retirement she and Kenneth took many bus tours around the United States seeking new adventures and making new friends.
