Brad Weber

Bradley E. Weber, age 52, of New Rockford, ND, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at his home of natural causes.

Bradley Erwin Weber was born November 26, 1959, the son of Walter and Anna Marie (Troske) Weber in New Rockford, ND, where he grew up and graduated from New Rockford High School in 1978.  He attended VCSU, Valley City and NDSU, Fargo.

On July 18, 1981, Brad married the love of his life, Jill Ferguson, in New Rockford.  From this union, they had four children.

Brad served on many boards for many years including the Equity Coop Elevator, Eddy County Farmers Union, Central Plains Water Association, Rockford Township and also served as County Township Assessor.  However, Brad’s greatest joy and pride were his children.

One of his greatest enjoyments came from farming and was happiest whenever he was in any type of farm machinery (especially RED) and really loved harvest time.  In his words “this is when I get to reap the fruits of my labor.”

Brad was very devoted to family and farming.  His children meant the world to him.  Brad spent any free time he had, attending his childrens many activities.  He was a loving, wonderful father and husband.  He also loved his dogs, Pudge and Simba.  He has left us with many happy memories.  The family trip to Cancun after his stroke will always be a special memory for the family.

Brad will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Jill; four children; Casey (Mackenzie) Weber, Levi (Chelsey Engels) Weber, Cassidy Weber, Lexie Weber, all of New Rockford;  2 brothers; Wesley (Lee Anna) Weber, Forsyth, IL, Russell (Mera) Weber, Bloomington, MN; 1 sister; Kathy McBee, Charleston, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents.

Message: I write this with a heavy heart for the whole family.  I worked with Brad at the FSA office, he was a field person for years.  He worked in the office doing proven yields and spot-checking and measuring grain bins and much more.  Brad always took pride in whatever he did.  When we asked him to be our field person, he knew that doing so that the office would have to spot-check all his farms every year for everything from reporting the correct acres and that spot-checking all his loans etc...  Brad was an honest guy and did not care of if he was spot-checked because he tried to do things the right way all the time.  He leaves his family with the important of hard work and honesty.  I will also remember all the good times we had skiing at Terry Peak in our younger years!! He will be missed by many.
