Paul Weber

Paul Weber, age 89, of Carrington, ND, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington.

  

Paul was born December 8, 1925, to August and Julia (Goter) Weber on the family farm near Woodworth, ND. He attended school in a one room school in Lawery Township #4.

  

Paul farmed with his father until April 17, 1945, when he enlisted into the Army at Ft. Snelling, MN. He was sent to the Asian Pacific Theater for the occupation of Japan.

  

He purchased the family farm in 1963 and farmed until his retirement in 1989. Paul was united in marriage to Arvilla (Cook) Boesch in 1977 at Federated Church UCC/UMC of Carrington. Through the years Paul and Arvilla enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. Paul was a member of the Rice Deede American Legion Post 205 in Woodworth since 1952, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3524 of Carrington since 1977.

In 2004, they moved to Carrington from the farm where they resided before moving to Golden Acres Estates in July of 2015.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 38 years; a stepson Jeff Boesch of Missoula, MT; a sister Ruth Woodward of Waupaca, WI; a brother Edgar (Dorthy) Weber of Azle, TX; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Harold.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CHI Hospice or a charity of your choice.

Message: Sorry for your loss.  Paul was such a gentle, kind man.  When I was 16 years old he hired myself and a friend to paint his and his moms house.  I really think he did it to give us a chance to earn some $ for college.  Paul would have been our 2nd cousin and was always there when our parents died.  Just wanted you to know we all remember him as a great, gentle man.  Fred Zimmer children: Janice, Irene, Paulette, and Steven
