Donna Zink

Donna Jean Zink,age 81, of Carrington, ND, beloved mother and spouse of 62 years, passed away on Friday, October 11, 201,3 at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, N.D.

Donna was born on February 17, 1932, at the Albert Retzlaff farm.The daughter of Henry and Esther (Retzlaff) Beck was raised in Carrington, where she helped her parents in their numerous business endeavors. She graduated with honors from Carrington High School in 1950.

In 1951, she was married to her high school sweetheart, Maurice Zink. She was destined to become a homemaker, farm wife and most wonderful mother to 6 children. Her primary interest was always her family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, church and community activities. She dearly lovedthe peaceful environment provided by her life on the farm. Nothing was more dear to Donna than to be surrounded by family and friends. Her sense of adventure led to travel in distant lands.

Those privileged to share her life included husband, Maurice, family members, Jeff Zink, Greg Zink, Mike Zink, Richard Zink, Ann (Steve) Spravzoff, Andrew (Claudia) Zink, and Marie (Peter) Anderson; 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one son Jeff, a grandson Onias, her parents and two brothers Keith and Carl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Carrington Senior Citizens Center
