Message: Dear Ellen, Douglas, Donovan, Dennis and family,

Donna, Griffin and I are very saddened by my uncles passing.

Some of my best memories as a child involved Uncle Chester. Two memories that I would like to share:

Chester was the first person who let me drive a car! This was way before I was of legal age and had to stand up in the car to press the gas. We were near to the house and when we started to move and i pressed on the gas, I turned the car hard to one side and pressed the gas. We ended up in a field, knocking down one of the crops(corn I think). I will never forget this.

The next experience was when we went on a big fishing trip to Minnesota for pike. We had the greatest time catching lots of fish. But what sticks in my mind the most was that Uncle Chester had on a pair of White Silk swim shorts that matched the color of his legs. I thought they were so funny (coming from a beach community near San Francisco).

My time with Chester and kids has always been an enriching experience. I wish that I could come to the service, but we are in a battle of our own with Dad having bypass surgery.

Please know that I am thinking of all of you and of Chester!

Big Hugs,
Larry, Donna and Griffin Jacobsen
