Message: Douglas was a great guy that taught me how to fish, trap snapping turtles and enjoy the outdoors. I stayed in Carrington for five years after I graduated from high school in 1977, during which time I had a chance to get to know Doug. Doug was always kind, helpful and just plain fun to be around. I think that Hoffman, Nicolson and myself still owe Doug money from gambling at the Shamrock Bar when we were young. Learning how to play cards with Doug was a costly venture as he was good at it and a little lucky as well. I will always remember the good times I had with Doug. I will miss him dearly. My condolences go out to Brenda and their three children.
