Message: We are so sad to hear of your father's passing and are thinking so much about your mom. After 74 years together, how does one go on without your other half. I'm certain it will be difficult for her. They truly were a couple in LOVE, true LOVE! Your dad was truly one of the hardy pioneers of North Dakota - now most are gone. There are so many stories of the old New Home area that I wish I cold still hear my dad tell. My dad and yours were the same age and grew up together near New Home and both went to Lowry School. It feels like a piece of that precious history is gone forever, just as New Home doesn't exist anymore. What a privilege we had being raised in those days when ND was so young and the history so rich. And what a wonderful heritage we have from your Dad and others from that area! Thinking of you all and hoping your mom can find comfort in remembering all the GOOD things they knew!
