Duane Cunningham, age 91 of McHenry, ND, on June 12, 2025, went to be with Jesus peacefully in his home surrounded by his children.

Duane was born January 14, 1934, in New Rockford, ND, to Alfred and Marion (Wilson) Cunningham. He attended a one room grade school at Cherry Lake #4. He then attended New Rockford High School and graduated in 1951, and then went on to Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, for one semester. In 1948, Duane asked the Lord to be his Savior at a revival meeting in New Rockford. On June 5, 1956, Duane was married to the love of his life, Mabel Manz. They were blessed with four children and together they rented their farm from Duane’s father for 10 years. In 1966, they purchased the farm and raised dairy and beef cattle, along with small grains. Duane loved to farm, he always said that farming was the best job ever. He was also a very skilled welder and mechanic. After many years of farming, he retired from dairy cows in 1999.
