Charlotte Koepplin
Charlotte Cleo Koepplin, died Friday, March 6, 2026, with her loving family at her side at Lutheran Home of The Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.
Charlotte Cleo Koepplin was born April 15, 1947, to Elmer and Aneita (Longnecker) Koepplin in New Rockford. Charlotte’s education began at Brantford School and graduated from New Rockford High School in 1965. Her life was deeply rooted in her community, where she worked on her family’s dairy farm until retirement. Additionally, Charlotte dedicated 60 years of service to writing for the Transcript, she also served 25 years as the secretary for Pleasant Prairie Township.
Her interests were as diverse as they were engaging. Charlotte had a passion for gardening and horses; her culinary skills were renowned, especially her baking, sausage making, and canning. Her sauerkraut and special recipes were beloved by all who had the pleasure of tasting them. Charlotte’s love for the outdoors was evident in her enjoyment of mowing grass and her long-standing membership with the Circle Trail Riders, where she served as secretary for 38 years.
Charlotte cared for her parents as they aged at the family farm, she was a special aunt who helped raise her two nephews. She loved her great-nieces and nephews. Those who knew Charlotte will remember her as a loving, kind, and thoughtful individual. Her gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on her community and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her sister-in-law, Janelle Koepplin of New Rockford; nephews Todd (Karen) Koepplin of New Rockford and Aaron (Danielle) Koepplin of Carrington; Todd’s children, Taylor (Amanda) Koepplin and their children Evelyn, Tessa Charlotte, and Owen; Allyssa Lewis and her children Kenna and Grady; Aaron’s children, Kalli, Kread, Kerigan, Carter, Chevelle, and Hendrix; her close friend, Eileen Williams of Jamestown.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elmer and Aneita Koepplin; her brother, Martin Koepplin and her special dog Fester (Peep).
A special thank you to all of the staff at Lutheran Home of The Good Shepherd and Hospice for their loving care.
Charlotte’s Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 6:00-7:00PM followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00PM all at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Carrington.
Her Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
