Debra Kruse

Debra “Debbie” Kay Kruse, age 72, of Carrington, ND, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at CHI St. Alexius Carrington Medical Center.

Debbie was born in Carrington, on July 15, 1953, the daughter of Clarence and Muriel (Hovland) Krueger. She grew up in Carrington and attended Carrington High School, graduating in 1971.

After high school Debbie moved to Billings, MT.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Miles Kruse.  They were happily married in Billings, MT on April 14, 1973.  Shortly after, they moved to Carrington and began their life together raising three sons.

Debbie lived a full and joyful life, working various jobs. However, the most important things in her life were her 52 years of marriage to Miles, her devotion to their family as it grew over the years, and the enjoyment derived from seeing the successes of her children and grandchildren. She cherished any time spent with family and friends.   Debbie loved to cook and many became fond of her food and her knowledge of hardly ever needing to follow a recipe.

Debbie will be forever loved and deeply missed by her husband, Miles; sons, Jeremy (Dani) Kruse, Pace, FL, Nathan (Amber) Kruse, Carrington, and Derek (Alison) Kruse, Fairview, MT; grandchildren, Caleb Kruse, Libby Kruse, Alyssa Helstad, Liam Kruse, Addie Urness, Nelson Kruse, Preston Kruse, Braden Kruse, Griffin Kruse, and Memphis Kruse; sisters, Marilyn Gedrose, Claire (Chet) Birkeland, and Vonnie (Chuck) Fisher; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Cliff Gedrose; and many cherished pets.

In lieu of flowers, please designate donations to the charity of your choice.

Debbie’s legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Our family would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of you who have been so kind and thoughtful at this most difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at a later time.
