Roger McKay Sr.
Roger Dale McKay Sr. “Busty”, 69, of Fort Totten, ND began his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home.
Roger Dale was born on December 19, 1955 at Devils Lake, ND, the son of Jesse and Angeline (Brown) McKay. He was reared and educated in Flandreau, SD. Busty worked in the construction industry and also a firefighter for Spirit Lake fire hall until his health problems forced him to retire. Busty enjoyed spending his time with his children, grandchildren and family.
Busty is survived by his children, Shannon Aguiliar, Angela McKay, Roger McKay Jr., Byron Littleghost, Lynn McKay, Robbie McKay, Maria Snell, Radell Whitetail McKay, and Kelly McKay and grandchildren, great grandchildren and adopted son, Terren Demarce; sisters, Ramona (John) Chaske, Deanna McKay, Rosita McKay, Marilyn Thompson, Sherry Thompson, and Cindy Thompson; brothers, Ronald (Connie) McKay Sr., Corbett McKay, Murray (Donna) McKay and Calvin Thompson and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and special friend, Jessica Buckles.
Busty was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Angeline; son, Delano Wade McKay; daughters, Cassie Jo McKay and Kassie Jo McKay; brothers, Jerome “Sonny” McKay, Patrick McKay, Rodney “Cowboy” McKay, Jesse McKay Jr., Robert “Sox” McKay; sisters, Barbara “Granny” McKay, Georgeline “Cissy” McKay, Lorraine “Josie” McKay; wife, Candace McKay; grandsons, Jerome McKay and Justin McKay and Kenney McKay.

Roger’s Wake/Visitation will be Tuesday, at 5:00PM followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00PM all at Crow Hill Rec. Center, Fort Totten, ND.
Friends wishing to join the procession from New Rockford to Fort Totten may gather on the St. Jerome’s road, Fort Totten, prior to 4:15PM.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May, 14, 2025, at 10:00AM at Crow Hill Rec. Center, Fort Totten, ND.
