Alice Prosser

Alice Fern Prosser, age 89, of Carrington, ND, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in the peace of her own home.

Alice was born October 24, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Mauer) College. She grew up in the Carrington Area.

Alice was married to Raymond Harildstad on May 17, 1952, and together they were blessed with five children. Raymond unexpectedly passed away and Alice later married Kenneth Prosser on May 23, 1963 and together they were blessed with four children.

She enjoyed playing cards, going for rides around town, watching old western movies, and feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved going on family adventures, especially the ones that she could play the Buffies, and spending time with friends and family.

Alice cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took every opportunity to spend time with them.

Alice is survived by her sister, Angie Belrude; her son, Douglas (Janice) Harildstad and their family, Josh (Leslie) Harildstad, Dylin and Bree Harildstad; Alison (Nathan) McGillivray, Aspen and Brooklyn McGillivray; Adam (Nicole) Harildstad, Raegan, Jada, and Hudson Harildstad; her daughter, Norma (Joe) Nevland with their family, Stacy (Monty) Zimmer, Parker and Brye Zimmer; Raylin (Amber) Nevland, Ashlyn Nevland and Amber Nevland; her son, David (Kathy) Harildstad with their family, Jordan Harildstad; Josephine (Jonathon) Beranik; her daughter, Belinda (Larry) Vande Hoven, with their family, Troy (Shauna) Vande Hoven; Trevor (Lisa) Vande Hoven, Adisyn, Mya and Aysa Vande Hoven; her son, Jeff (Brenda) Prosser with their family, Michael (Sarah) Fread, Eden and Caleb Fread; Justin (Brandi) Prosser; Mariah (Sam) Prosser, Elizah Ebensteiner, and Westin Tiegs; her daughter, Carrie Prosser with her family, Kayla (Josh) Putzlie, Brooks Putzlie; Tristen (Ty) Prosser, Lennon Smith; and Bryzon Prosser; her son, Randy (Helen) Prosser with their family, Sadie, Hayden, and Myka Prosser; her daughter, Carla (Jim) Hardy with their family, Islin (Colton) Hardy; Aishlee Hardy, and Jaydee Hardy; her daughter, Renae Steen with her family, Sarah (Joseph) Henderson, Jezebelle, Kalani and Kevin Henderson; Teresa Steen, Nathan, and Zachary Steen, Issac Steen, Jaiden, and Bryzick Steen; Leslie Mehring, Whitney, and Rylie Mehring; Rebecca Mathews and Hailie; Shayla (Jake) Bruhn, Shane and Addlyn Bruhn; Alice (Johny) Wilson, Lilly, Diesel, and Karson Wilson; Isiah Steen, Brielle, and Ryder Steen; and close family, Sharon and Cote.

 

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Martha College; and her husbands, Raymond Harildstad, Kenneth Prosser and her grandson Travis Vande Hoven.

 

Alice’s Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Her Burial will be at the Carrington Cemetery.

  1. Dearest family, We were so looking forward to our stay with Alice and our visit with all of you. We will be keeping our original travel plans and will arrive on the 19th and leave on the 21st. We hope to see as many of you as we can during that time. We are so sorry for your loss. We loved her so much and her passing will leave a tremendous void in our hearts. May God keep all of you safe in His Loving Arms.

  2. My heart is broken. Your mom/grandma has always been such a delight. Her contagious laugh and loving spirit are some of my fondest memories in Carrington. I love you guys.
