Marty Bauer, age 50, of Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, August 1, 2021. 

Marty Rae Bauer was born on September 12, 1970, the son of William and Marlys Jane (Hewitt) Bauer at Carrington Hospital, Carrington, ND. He was raised and attended school in Carrington, graduating in 1989. During high school, Marty worked at Jack and Jill Grocery Store. After high school, Marty attended one year at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. He transferred and completed one year at Wadena Technical College. 

After college, Marty began to work at Dakota Central in Carrington, ND. He later transferred to the Jamestown office where he took over the position of Chief Plant Officer. He just celebrated 30 years of service with the company. 

Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, golfing, “pageant pro,” bike riding, kayaking, and spending any of his free time with his family. He looked forward to the week spent every summer at his brother’s lake house in Minnesota as well as their annual Medora trip where many shenanigans took place. Some of Marty’s most cherished times were following his children’s extra-curricular activities. Among the most memorable were the father/son wrestling matches and the fierce three-way competition on the golf course and presenting his “shit-eating-grin” at all family occasions, he never missed a damn thing. 

Marty will be remembered and deeply missed by his two sons, Chaz Bauer Carrington, ND/Omaha, NE; Jarrett Bauer Fargo, ND; his soulmate Angie Wolfe, Jamestown, ND and her children Sabrina, Haley, and Dakota Wolfe; his father, Bill (Marlys (Dunn)) Bauer, Carrington, ND; brother, Jay (Cindy) Bauer, Carrington, ND; sister-in-law, Sandy Wells, Williston, ND; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Nathan) Fischer and their children Kaiya, Landon and Liam; Jason (Jenna) Bauer and their children Jonathan, Jessen and Mauri; Ashley (Jaydee) Schulz and their daughters Rayna and Lainey; Taryn (Luke) Sundby and their son Rowdy; Torie (Tate) Wells, Arie (Maryssa) Bauer their sons Izak, Raife, and Jory; Marlys Dunn’s children, Trevor, David, Shaunette. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Marlys and brothers Craig and Lynn. 

 

His Visitation will be Thursday, Noon -5:00PM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington and will continue from 6:00 – 7:00PM at Church, a Rosary Service will be held at 6:45PM followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00PM all at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington.

Marty’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington, ND.

His Burial will be at the Carrington Cemetery.

  8. Monte and I were so sorry to hear of Marty’s passing. He will truly be missed by us. I always enjoyed his every night “so how was your day today” when I entered the daktel building. Last night when I had gone there the tears flowed as I walked by his office and I knew I wouldn’t see him in there anymore. 😢😢. He helped me in so many ways when I couldn’t do it myself. Praying for you Angie during this difficult time. Marty you will definitely be missed by us!!!!!!!

  26. My deepest sympathies to Marty’s family and friends. I was a fellow CHS class of 1989 classmate. I’m still in shock over his passing. Very sad. I remember running into Marty and Lynn at Big B’s pizza often when we were younger. Good memories of them both. Prayers and peace to all.

I will always remember the great visits we had in California taking him and his brothers to the amusement parks and movies and the many laughs we shared.   48. Condolences to Bauer Family & Friends, may God’s love help you through this. Marty and I met many years ago through business. We soon found out we shared alot in common, the love for the outdoors and hunting, fishing, sharing game cam pics and just sharing stories of our adventures in the woods and from their we become friends.
