Arland Clelland
Arland R. Clelland, age 51, passed away at his residence in New Rockford on May 17, 2019.
Arland Ray Clelland was born July 21, 1967, at New Rockford, ND, the son of Delbert and Janice (Suhr) Clelland. He attended school in New Rockford where he was very active in sports. He graduated in 1985, then attended Jamestown College for two years.
After college, he worked various construction jobs. In 2006, he started dating Malissa Lundemo. His pride and joy Dakota Ray Clelland was born in Watertown, SD, on May 7, 2007. In the fall of 2007, they moved back to New Rockford.
He is survived by his son, Dakota, significant other, Malissa Lundemo; three sisters, Holly Christopherson (Dennis Hegland), Colleen Semmens and Jodi (Bruce) Hirchert, all of New Rockford; three nieces, two nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and one brother-in-law, Joel Christopherson.
Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 2:00PM in First Lutheran Church, New Rockford, ND.
Burial will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford, ND.

I hope the promise at Revelation 21:3,4 brings you comfort knowing that God will end death and we will see our loved ones in the future. “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

It’s hard to find words to express how sad I feel for his family !! I can’t imagine how much grief you must all be feeling . He was a kind and decent person. So sorry .for your loss. !! Especially Melissa and Dakota. You will be in my prayers.
