Tami Coenen, 63, of Crary, ND, spread her angel wings July 17th, 2022 at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Tami was born July 16th, 1959 to Jo Ellen Reed and Dale Duerksen in Helena, Montana. Tami attended various schools due to her father’s Air Force career, but finally settled down with the love of her life, Rory, in Crary, ND in 1996. She worked most of her life as a nurse as they raised three daughters and welcomed 11 grandchildren. Tami was known for her incredibly kind heart. She was always willing to lend an ear and helping hand to anyone in need. She was known for showing her kindness, sometimes in unconventional ways- picking up hitchhikers and befriending strangers. She was never too proud to love. She never failed to text or call for any and all special occasions. Tami thoroughly enjoyed gardening, working on diamond paintings, camping, and spending time with the family who she adored so much.

Tami is survived by her husband and partner of 46 years, Rory Coenen, her daughters Destiney Sandvik (Jeremy) of Devils Lake, Sarah Coenen (Randy Minnerup) of Devils Lake, and Samantha Bilbruck (Tyler) of Hot Springs, SD. She is also survived by sisters Dawna Camden and Tawnya Duerksen, brother Alan Duerksen, in addition to many step siblings. She also leaves behind grandchildren Paige Dahlen (Chris), Wyatt Sandvik, Brett Longie, Brody Sandvik, Payton Coenen, Shelby Minnerup, Shayla Minnerup, Griffin Sandvik, Colton Vigil, Brynlee Minnerup, and Emmett Minnerup, father in law Jackie Coenen, sister in law Rhonda Comer, brother in law Robert (Lynda) Coenen. She also left herself in the hearts of countless friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and anyone she came across.

She is preceded in death by her mother Jo Ellen Reed, father Dale Duerksen, sister Wendy Duerksen, brother Robert Duerksen, and mother in law Ruthie Coenen.

Tami’s Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2022 from Noon – 1:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM all at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
