Keith Clarence Drake, 60, of Sheyenne, ND, passed unexpectedly in the early morning hours of July 23, 2022.

Keith Clarence Drake was born on February 22, 1962 in New Rockford, ND to Linda Lou & Kenneth Clarence Drake.  Keith attended Sheyenne High School and graduated in 1980.  After graduation he attended Lake Region Community College and East Grand Forks Tech for mechanics and welding.  He worked as a mechanic in western North Dakota for a short time before moving back to Sheyenne, where he started farming.  Keith was actively farming at the time of his passing.

Keith enjoyed listening to rock music, riding Harleys, cruising four wheelers, snowmobiling and getting together with family and friends.  Keith enjoyed the companionship of many special pets over the years.  You would often find Nickers along for a ride when Keith was out digging with the old 830 Case.  Keith’s last beloved pet, Ripper, was always willing to “let’s go” and loved tagging along in the tractors, semis, four wheelers or anything else with wheels and windows.

Keith’s great nephews were the apples of his eye!  He enjoyed teaching them about farming, giving them rides on the combine and tractor and politely answered their million and one questions while doing so.

Keith is survived by his father Kenneth (KC) Drake of Sheyenne, his sister Leann Drake of West Fargo, ND, niece Carleen Terres (Jared) and great nephews Alaric, Thane and Kallum all of West Fargo, ND, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Linda Lou Drake, his grandparents Clarence & Helen Drake and Thomas & Leona Gilderhus and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special thank you to all of Keith’s friends and all who have reached out to help the Drake family during this difficult time.

Keith’s Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 1:00PM – 4:00PM at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford and will continue from 6:00PM – 7:00PM at First Lutheran Church followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00PM at First Lutheran Church in Sheyenne, ND.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 10:30AM at First Lutheran Church, Sheyenne, ND.

His Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford, ND
