I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Alice through her son, John. She was a delightful woman and I enjoyed our conversations while I helped her with her eyeglasses. I’m so very sorry for your family’s loss.
So sorry to see the passing of Alice. What a wonderful lady. I will make sure Jay knows about Alice’s passing. I know she will be very sad to hear this. She loved Alice very much. Prayers to all
I want to start out by apologizing to my father for what I’m about to say, as it’s going to open some old wounds. I don’t need him to like it, but I would like him to respect it after I’m done…
I never knew my dad’s mother. They had a falling out before I was born, and I was never brave enough, or stupid enough, to bring up the subject.
Fortunately, Alice helped fill that void in our lives. Though she had sons of her own, she was generous enough to take him under her wing. She was like the mom he needed. Her sons, Pete and John, were like brothers to my old man. If she needed something, and they couldn’t help out, my dad was there for her. And though I didn’t need, or expect, her love and kindness, it was there for me if I needed it.
I’m thankful for her compassion and her support.
Holding you and your family in my heart. I have fond memories of her at ballgames and at church.
So sorry for your loss Pete!
Fondly remember working nights with Alice at GAM
Our sincere condolences on the passing of a wonderful person, Alice Gudmundson. We’ll always remember her outgoing personality and spirit. She will be missed. Although we are unable to attend the service, know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
We got to know Alice in 2010. She opened her home to us when we were in Carrington for Pat Roundy’s funeral. Alice was so kind and giving. I loved escorting her at our nieces and our nephew’s weddings. We will miss her smile. Alice will always be a very special person in our stories and hearts.
Seeing her picture brought back such good memories of spending time at the Gudmundson home in Carrington with John. She was a wonderful lady. My condolences to Pete and John
